What we collect
We keep this site deliberately light. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and carries no advertising or social media trackers. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.
- Inquiries. When you use the contact form we receive your name, company, the topic you choose, your email address and your message.
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical data for every request, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, to deliver and secure the site.
Why we use it
- To read and answer your inquiry and to take steps you ask for before any agreement. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract.
- To keep the site secure and working. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a safe service.
We do not sell personal data, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it for automated decisions or profiling.
Who handles it for us
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions: Vercel Inc. for hosting and Resend for delivering form messages to our inbox. Links on this site to other websites, such as playasone.app and venuevista.co, take you to services with their own privacy policies.
International transfers
Velvet is based in the United States, so your data will be processed there. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses offered by our providers.
How long we keep it
We keep inquiries for as long as the conversation is active and for up to twenty four months afterwards, unless a longer period is required by law or you ask us to delete them sooner. Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period under its own retention rules.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct, and the right not to be discriminated against for using those rights. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in California law.
To use any of these rights, reach us through the contact form on this site, or by post at the address below. We will answer within the period the law requires.
Children
This site is meant for a business audience and is not directed at children under sixteen. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the effective date above.
